Gabby Agbonlahor has given his score prediction ahead of Tottenham against Chelsea on Monday night.

Spurs host Chelsea at the start of next week in a fascinating Premier League fixture.

For Spurs, they’re undefeated after 10 league games and right at the top of the table. Ange Postecoglou has swopped back-to-back Premier League manager of the month awards since his summer arrival.

As for Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino is still trying to find the right formula after coming in as the new head coach at Stamford Bridge in the summer. The Blues are 11th in the league to go along with a real mixed bag of performances.

Tottenham vs Chelsea prediction

TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor is anticipating a pretty close London derby.

However, he’s edging towards a Spurs victory with their home advantage.

Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “It’s a big game. Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea. It’s a hard one to choose. Chelsea look better and more organised under Pochettino. But Spurs at home, they’ve turned their home form around and looking a threat. I’ve got to go with a Spurs win… A close game. I’m going to go 2-1.”

Daunting run-in

We’re going to learn a lot about Chelsea’s season by the time they’ve played their next five league matches.

The Blues take on Spurs (away), Manchester City (home), Newcastle United (away), Brighton (home) and Manchester United (away) in the next set of league games.

If Pochettino’s side pick up very few points in this tough run-in, you may be able to wave goodbye to any push for the European spots this season.

Speaking via Sportskeeda this week, Paul Merson has tipped Chelsea to pull off a surprise victory at Spurs. In fairness, Chelsea’s best performances in recent months were against both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Nobody gave Pochettino’s team much hope in last month’s meeting versus Arsenal, but they played the much better football in a 2-2 draw. We hope for a repeat next week against an in-form Spurs.
