Gabriel Agbonlahor has picked a few Chelsea stars in his Premier League Team of the Week after such an impressive victory away at Tottenham.

Chelsea enjoyed a memorable away day in the Premier League on Sunday, winning 4-3 at London rivals Spurs.

Enzo Maresca’s side flexed their attacking muscles to bail themselves out of a two-goal deficit. Interestingly, the Blues have scored 35 goals in 15 league games so far this season, which is the most in the entire division.

Maresca previously joked nobody will defend in Chelsea’s attacking team. In fairness, he’s definitely still got plenty of work to do to make sure the defence is as brilliant as the forward line.

Gabriel Agbonlahor names Chelsea trio in Team of the Week

During his weekly segment on talkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor included Chelsea trio Enzo Fernandez, Jadon Sancho, and Cole Palmer in his Premier League Team of the Week.

He commented Fernandez: “The next one is Enzo Fernandez. Quiet opening 15-20 minutes, but he grew into the game. Just getting into little spaces. He’s better playing further forward than playing as a sitter. Scored a fantastic volley, left foot. I just feel that he was really the energy behind that midfield… Enzo Fernandez is really finding his feet now, and he knows he has to put in performances like this. He has to get goals and assists. £100m footballer, and he’s starting to repay Chelsea for the big money.”

Agbonlahor added on Sancho: “Jadon Sancho found it tough in recent years, but he’s got a manager that trusts him and has faith in him. He’s taken his chance… Sancho looks calm and collected. He’s dribbling at speed. His goal, that’s the Sancho we know, dribbling at speed inside, smashes it into the bottom corner off the post. All game he was a threat. His ball retention was very good.”

Chelsea’s Sancho touched the ball inside the box 12 times against Spurs, which was the most in the Premier League across the weekend’s fixtures.

Finally, Agbonlahor raved about Palmer after selecting him: “This guy Cole Palmer, another who had a slow start but grew into the game. For Enzo Fernandez’s goal, the way he dribbled inside past [Destiny] Udogie, it was like he wasn’t there… His two penalties as well. The second one is takes courage to do a dink when you’re only winning by one goal in the game. His all-round game, he’s Mr Chelsea at the moment.”

Chelsea attacker Palmer made WhoScored’s Team of the Week after scoring two penalties during the Spurs win. It’s nice to see some of his teammates earn praise as well, though.

Chelsea’s strongest attack is clear

At this moment in time, Chelsea’s best attack is looking more and more clearer. There’s a lot of competition for places within the talented group of players, but the best front four should pick itself.

Of course, Palmer is the outstanding No.10 at the club. Gary Lineker compared Chelsea’s Palmer to Lionel Messi for a bit of skill he produced in Sunday’s victory at Spurs.

Nicolas Jackson has then established himself as the club’s first-choice striker in the No.9 position.

It does get a bit more interesting when you move into the wide areas, but Sancho and Pedro Neto complete the best attacking quartet. Incidentally, it’s the same front four that started the London derby success against Spurs.

The likes of Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix have the ability to break into Chelsea’s line-up. Fortunately, the minutes should be shared during a busy December schedule as well.

However, it’s great to see Chelsea’s best attack really taking shape now, so fans know what to expect in these big league games.
