Croatian media outlet Sportske Novosti have heaped immense praise on defender Josko Gvardiol for his performance in the World Cup yesterday.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea since the summer transfer window.
Knowing a draw would be enough for them to qualify for the knockout stages of the World Cup, Croatia certainly came with a plan against Belgium.

They worked hard and defended well, however no one did it better than Gvardiol.
The RB Leipzig man was a colossus at the back for the European side, and his heroics helped deny Romelu Lukaku late on when he looked certain to score.
Then again, the Chelsea loanee looked certain to score on a number of occasions, although he wasn’t able to take any of his chances.
Gvardiol praised by national media
Meanwhile, Sportske Novosti have gone as far to say that the defender put in his best performance of his career.
They said: “Croatia succeeded because they had the fantastic Joško Gvardiol , who played a divine match. Many compliments were said and written about the 20-year-old stopper, but this was the game of his career.
“We have not seen such a performance by a defensive player against such a strong opponent at this World Cup. We succeeded also because we showed a winning character and a fight to the end.”

The Blues reportedly missed out on a deal to bring Gvardiol in to the side in the final few days of the summer transfer window.
However, his post-game comments yesterday certainly added fuel to the fire that he may join Chelsea in the coming transfer windows.
He has received plenty of praise from international teammate Mateo Kovacic, who of course plays his club football at Stamford Bridge.
In a world where Todd Boehly is looking to add young stars to his ranks going forwards, Gvardiol would be a perfect addition next year.
