Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United have set the end of next week as their deadline to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea.
He took to Twitter to state that the Red Devils are preparing another bid to try and get a deal over the line.
The news surrounding Mount at Chelsea is certainly not positive right now, with it widely expected that he will be on the way out this summer.

The most likely suitors seem to be United, with their interest being led by manager Erik ten Hag’s desire for the player.
So far, the fellow Premier League side have had two bids rejected for his services, with Chelsea holding out for a decent fee despite only one year remaining on his deal.
Mount exit deadline
Romano has now claimed that the interested party have set themselves a target for when to get the deal done by, before turning their attention to other options.
He said: “Understand sources feel Mason Mount deal has to be completed by the end of next week. Manchester United will bid again as said yesterday but insist for quick resolution — won’t keep negotiating for too long.
“£60/65m enough to convince Chelsea. Personal terms agreed.”

Chelsea are now safe in the knowledge that the player wants to leave, with it being reiterated in the last few days that he will not be signing a new contract with the club.
This of course means that he has the opportunity to walk away from the club for free.
There were hopes by some that the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino would start changing the mind of the player, however it now looks best for both parties that the relationship comes to an end this summer.
