BBC Pundit Jermaine Jenas has criticised Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher for his performance in the second half of the FA Cup tie yesterday.
The Blues were soundly beaten 4-0 by a dominant Manchester City side, who didn’t even need to be close to their best to book their place in the next round of the competition.
The defeat saw Chelsea exit the FA Cup at the first hurdle for the first time in 25 years.

A mix of youth and experience was named by Graham Potter to start the game, however finding themselves 3-0 down at half-time certainly led to panic stations among the visitors last night.
After a couple of substitutions at the break, the Blues came back out with a couple of players in precarious positions.
Gallagher was one of those who’s role heavily changed in the second half. He featured on the right of defence.
Jenas slams Gallagher
After an error in the second half, Jenas heavily criticised the defensive awareness on show from the 22-year-old.
He said: “Conor Gallagher hasn’t got a clue where he is here. He’s been told to come out in almost like a right wing back position but on that occasion where the ball gets played inside him he doesn’t have a clue where Gomez was.”

The England international is struggling for regular minutes at the moment, despite plenty of questions being asked about the Chelsea midfield this season.
This could perhaps be down to the resurgence of Denis Zakaria, who currently looks undroppable at the heart of the midfield.
With the deal for Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez seemingly falling through this month, Potter may be forced to make the most out of the options he currently has to get the Blues through the rest of the current campaign.
