Financial expert Stefan Borson has claimed that Chelsea are now going to be very concerned after breaking news this afternoon.
He told TalkSPORT that the Premier League points deduction handed to Everton today will be worrying to a side who are facing their own questions in the financial department.
Todd Boehly and co are preparing for an investigation after self-reporting a number of misdemeanours under the club’s previous regime.

While they may have been confident that they could get away with a small punishment, news today could see them change that point of view.
Everton have been charged for a breach of financial fair play, and therefore deducted 10 points.
Borson has now claimed that the Blues should be really concerned at the potential punishment that faces them for their potential case.
How Chelsea will feel after Everton points deduction
He said: “It’s very different I think from the UEFA approach on sanctions. The panel has clearly come to the view, based partly on a previous case with Sheffield Wednesday and the Football League, that the proper sanction should be a sporting sanction and not a mere financial sanction and we are now in a new realm.
“A lot of clubs, not just Chelsea, are going to look at this and are going to be very concerned.
“Even a relatively small breach can give them a big sporting sanction.“
The case may take quite a while to solve, and therefore attention from Mauricio Pochettino will remain on the pitch off the back of two very impressive performances.
They picked up four points and scored eight goals against Tottenham and Manchester City, looking the better and more dangerous side in both.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea’s big spending will be limited in January, with reported plans of signing a striker in the works.
