Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will take charge of his third game on Wednesday as the Blues face Club America.

The Blues drew 2-2 with Wrexham in their opening pre-season match before losing 4-1 to Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic on Saturday evening.

The Italian’s side defended extremely poorly and were not very impressive going forward, either.

Chelsea would love to build some confidence with a win in their next game as the start of the 2024/25 season approaches.

Club America are the reigning Liga MX champions, though, so it will be another tough test.

The Chelsea Chronicle tells you everything you need to know about the upcoming match, such as the kick-off time, live stream and team news.

Chelsea vs Club America Team News

Enzo Maresca has picked similar starting lineups in Chelsea’s two friendlies, suggesting that the team for the game against Club America will not be too different.

Robert Sanchez has been in goal, with Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill ahead of him. Reece James has played as an inverted right-back, joining Romeo Lavia in central midfield in possession.

Meanwhile, new signing Marc Guiu has started both games up front, with Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke alongside him.

Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher and Marc Cucurella will not join the Blues in the US, but Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo will be available to play on Wednesday.
