Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino seems to be pleased with Conor Gallagher and his performances this season.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest column on Substack, Mauricio Pochettino is happy with Conor Gallagher, who has been an “important” player for the Argentine.
He has started in all 10 of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far, captaining the Blues on more than one occasion.
Gallagher has really turned things around at Stamford Bridge, as at one point he looked surplus to requirements.
During the last transfer window, talkSPORT reported that Chelsea were willing to sell the midfielder for £50m.

It really is not a surprise to hear Romano claim that Pochettino is happy with Gallagher. The 23-year-old is working his socks off right now.
As per FBref, Gallagher is in the top 20 Premier League players for tackles won this season, winning 15 for his side.
Considering that and the fact that the Englishman has never really complained during his time at Chelsea, he is probably a manager’s dream.
The Blues may not be at their best right now, but a midfield consisting of Gallagher, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo is quite a good one, with the England international recently praising the two South Americans.
Gallagher’s contract is up in 2025, but if the Chelsea academy graduate keeps playing the way he has been this term, he will surely win a new one.
How much game time Gallagher is promised could impact things. One reason why he is getting minutes right now is because the Blues have had a lot of injury problems.
Romeo Lavia is yet to play a game for his new club since joining them. Once he returns to action, Gallagher may see his role in the squad reduced. Would he still want to sign a new contract if that became a reality?
