Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has some interesting decisions to make ahead of tonight’s game against Crystal Palace.

The Blues host Palace on Wednesday night for a Premier League match, but they’ll be without suspended duo Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling.

Therefore, some Chelsea supporters are urging Mauricio Pochettino to give Noni Madueke a rare start this evening.

Regardless of the starting XI, we’re feeling huge pressure on the side going into this evening given recent results. They’ve slipped into the bottom half of the division because of three losses in the previous four league games.

Chelsea fans claim Noni Madueke should start vs Crystal Palace

A selection of Blues fans on social media agree that Madueke should be promoted to the starting line-up this week versus Palace.

The 21-year-old’s only started one league match so far this campaign, but he made a lively cameo off the bench during the Christmas Eve defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With Palmer and Sterling unavailable against Palace, the Blues suddenly look pretty short of options in wide areas.

Madueke, who’s a skilful right-winger that loves to cut infield on his left foot, is an option in the squad.

Chelsea fans below were responding on X to the question of whether or not Madueke should start at home to Palace.

One fan said: “Of course he should.”

A second replied: “Yes 100% him and Mudryk should start.”

A third added: “Honestly we don’t have many options on the flanks so he starts.”

A fourth claimed: “He has to start.”

Another wrote: “Yes please it’s finally time.”

A final supporter said: “What a Player. That’s what I need to see.”

TEAMtalk previously reported that Chelsea may be willing to sell £30million-rated Madueke after his relationship with Pochettino worsened.

We’ll be interested to see if the player can turn things around by finding some form, though.
