Jadon Sancho claims Chelsea youngster has the ‘world at his feet’

Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho has talked up the potential and quality of one emerging youngster at Stamford Bridge.

The current Chelsea squad already has such a low average age with all its promising young stars. It becomes even younger when they promote players from the Blues academy, too.

Chelsea’s academy players may be losing faith in the club and the process of progressing from the youth side to the first team, but there’s plenty of examples of that happening recently. In fact, Blues head coach Enzo Maresca has included some youngsters in his group several times already this season.

Jadon Sancho excited by Tyrique George

Jadon Sancho, 24, has tipped Chelsea teammate Tyrique George for big things moving forward.

Sancho has shared his excitement on X about the 18-year-old Blues youngster:

George is becoming more and more integrated into the first-team squad this season, playing five senior games across all competitions. In fairness, the attacker’s still getting regular minutes in the Under-21s side as well.

Maresca praised a “very good” performance from George in Chelsea’s recent 8-0 Conference League win over Noah, where he did make his first start.

In a similar light, Noni Madueke recently hailed Chelsea youngster George by claiming he’s a rising talent everyone needs to watch out for.

Chelsea depth on the wings

It’s great to see George getting senior minutes for Maresca’s side this campaign. However, it’s a tough job for him to force his way into the side regularly.

The versatile winger, who’s effective off either flank, has some high-profile names to get his way past.

Here is a look at the Chelsea wingers and their records this season across all competitions:

George has featured in all three Conference League group stage matches this year, so that’s a great platform for him to make a name for himself and progress his career.
