Following a statement win over Liverpool, Jamie Redknapp can’t say enough about the quality of one Chelsea star.
The triumph at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening has lifted spirits massively at Chelsea heading into the international break.
Liverpool came into the tie on a two-game losing run, which the Blues were able to extend courtesy of an Estevao winner in the dying embers.

The 18-year-old deserves all the plaudits for his late heroics, but it’s the scorer of Chelsea’s first who has earned the most praise after yet another masterful performance.
Jamie Redknapp sold on Moise Caicedo’s quality
Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp made it clear who he was most impressed with after the statement win.
He gives credit to Chelsea’s midfield maestro, Moises Caicedo, whose unbelievable strike gave Chelsea an early lead.
Asked for his take on the Ecuadorian’s performance, Redknapp says: “Normally a number 6 doesn’t have this quality. You talk about him, Rodri, Gravenberch – those three are as good as anything in world football.
“He possesses so many good attributes. When he hasn’t got the ball he’s incredible, he’s so hard to play against. He can pass the ball, he plays round the corner. There’s nothing he can’t do, there’s not a weakness in his game.”
Redknapp is just the latest to heap praise on the Chelsea man. Gary Neville labelled Caicedo best midfielder in the Premier League after his display.
It must have been tough for the visitors to take, considering they were competing with Chelsea for his signature. Caicedo reminded Liverpool why they were so taken with him in the first place.
Reece James joins in on the Caicedo praise
Although we have seen Caicedo’s potency from range on several occasions, it still lifted everyone out of their seats when he rifled one in from more than 20 yards out.
The defensive presence might be Caicedo’s best-known trait, but he can be a real threat to the opposition’s goal, too.
Captain Reece James says the goal is just one more reason why his teammate is one of the world’s best.
He remarks: “The goal speaks for his qualities and how good he is. I’m not sure some people understand how good he is. He plays at another level.”
Caicedo has started the season incredibly well.
With three league goals already, this is his best return since arriving in England, and he’s hit that mark after just seven games. A truly incredible start, and one he and Enzo Maresca will be looking to build on over the coming weeks.
