Chelsea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 over the weekend, with Joao Felix managing to get his name on the scoresheet.
Joao Felix was making his second debut for Chelsea after returning to the club last week.
It was a debut that the former Atletico Madrid forward will not forget after he came off the bench to score Chelsea’s sixth goal in what was a really impressive performance by the Blues.
Felix posted about the Wolves victory on Instagram after the game and has also revealed what Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca told him before his introduction at Molineux.

Enzo Maresca’s instructions to Joao Felix at Molineux
Maresca‘s instructions to Felix clearly worked, with the 24-year-old combining excellently with compatriot Pedro Neto to put Chelsea 6-2 up against Gary O’Neil’s men.
Discussing what his manager said to him before he came on, Felix told Chelsea’s official website: “The manager gives me confidence. I played as a forward against Wolves, he told me to find spaces in the right pocket and to link up with Cole [Palmer] and Christo [Christopher Nkunku].
“We have a lot of attacking options and it’s exciting to be part of it. Wherever the manager wants me to play in those attacking areas, I’m happy. I just want to help the team and this win was the perfect start [to life at Chelsea].”
Palmer also managed to grab himself a goal, and Paul Merson thinks Palmer will shine next to Felix.
Chelsea could have signed Federico Chiesa instead of Joao Felix
During this transfer window, Chelsea have been linked with Juventus’ Federico Chiesa. Last month, it was claimed that Chelsea and Chiesa’s agent spoke.
However, nothing materialised and Chelsea went for Felix instead of Chiesa in the end, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
With Felix having played for the Blues before and already scoring for the club following his return, Chelsea fans will be happy that the club opted for the Portuguese.
As for Chiesa, he could still get a move to the Premier League amid links to Chelsea’s rivals Liverpool.
While Chelsea are no longer considering the Italy international, they could still end up signing another winger before the transfer window closes on Friday.
Chelsea could swoop in for Jadon Sancho, who is yet to play a single minute of Premier League football for Manchester United this season. Maresca has plenty of attacking options, though, so it will not be the end of the world if the Blues miss out on him.
