What Jadon Sancho has to do if he wants to join Chelsea and leave Man United

Chelsea could make a move for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Chelsea have already signed Pedro Neto to strengthen out wide, while another recent addition, Joao Felix, can also play on the flank.

Nevertheless, the Blues still appear to have an interest in Jadon Sancho, who has not played in either of United’s first two Premier League games this season.

In June, journalist Simon Phillips claimed that Sancho had already been offered to Chelsea by his agent, but the club said no at the time.

Jadon Sancho to Chelsea not straightforward

Chelsea signing Sancho before the transfer deadline will not be a simple operation. While United seem to be open to letting him go, the player’s wages could prove to be a bit of a problem.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are considering making a swoop for the winger and United would sell for around £40m.

It is a fee that a club like Chelsea could easily afford. However, the same outlet claims that Sancho would probably need to take a big pay cut in order to secure a move to Stamford Bridge.

Sancho is not the only Premier League attacker the Blues could end up bringing in before the weekend. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also reportedly on Chelsea’s radar as they try to add another centre-forward to their squad.

Chelsea could offer Ben Chilwell for Jadon Sancho

In their bid to sign Sancho, it looks like Chelsea could offer United a player or two.

A report from Gianlucadimarzio.com claims that Chelsea could be willing to hand their Premier League rivals both Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling in order to acquire Sancho’s signature.

Neither player is part of Enzo Maresca‘s first-team squad at present, so it would not be a surprise if Chelsea did end up offering Chilwell and Sterling.

You have to question, though, whether the Blues actually need another winger. They already have the likes of Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk and Christopher Nkunku for the left flank, while Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke can play on the right.
