John Obi Mikel has not held back with his assessment of one Chelsea player following his side’s 1-0 win against Leicester City on Sunday.
While Chelsea were able to earn all three points and climb to fourth in the Premier League table, it could have been a very awkward afternoon for them.

Cole Palmer fluffed his penalty for the first time ever in a Chelsea shirt, while Robert Sanchez was almost punished for a silly error in the first half.
Enzo Maresca‘s men take on Arsenal next in the Premier League. They will have to put in a better performance if they want to take anything away from the Emirates this weekend.

John Obi Mikel claims Chelsea will not win the league with Robert Sanchez
Despite claiming that Filip Jorgensen was Chelsea’s No.1 goalkeeper only last month, Maresca decided to start Sanchez against Leicester.
It was a decision that almost backfired when the Spaniard came out to collect a cross in the first half which nearly resulted in Tosin Adarabioyo heading the ball into the back of his own net.
It is fair to say that Mikel was not impressed, with the former midfielder criticising Sanchez’s decision-making on his podcast.
Speaking on The Obi One Podcast, the Chelsea legend said: “There was a mistake from Sanchez again, which luckily didn’t end up in [a] goal, but what was he doing? I don’t get it. It was a cross that I think the central defenders can deal with and he’s come out again.
“I don’t know where he was going, but again, you look at that and you say to yourself and you say to the fans, ‘We can’t win the league with this goalkeeper’.
“I think the manager tried to rotate them, both of them, and you can see the manager’s also trying, but he’s like, ‘Listen, this is what I have. I’ll have to make do with what I have right now. Come the end of the season, then I might get another goalkeeper, another top goalkeeper’. But right now he has to make do with what he has.”
Thankfully, the Blues were not made to pay for Sanchez’s error. But with the race for Champions League qualification being so tight, the team can really not afford to have a liability in goal.
Djordje Petrovic has been in superb form for Strasbourg this season. It would not be a surprise if some Chelsea fans wanted him to replace the 27-year-old.

What former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has just said about Robert Sanchez
It does not look like one of Mikel’s former Chelsea teammates was too impressed with Sanchez either.
Retired goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was actually surprised to see Sanchez come out for the cross, feeling that it was never his to be won.
When Schwarzer spoke about that moment involving Sanchez, he said: “Robert Sanchez should never be coming for it. There was no way he was getting it.”
Right now, Sanchez is not convincing Chelsea’s former players, who have just not been impressed with what they have seen from him at Stamford Bridge.
