John Terry has agreed with Alan Shearer on social media when showering Chelsea’s new head coach with big praise.
Mauricio Pochettino is back in English football this season and sat in the manager’s dugout at Chelsea, who have given him the reigns to control a very young and exciting squad of players.
The 51-year-old has a draw and a loss to kickstart his spell with the Blues this season, but his reputation in England as a coach is very strong. That largely comes from his success across London with rivals Tottenham a few years ago.

England greats Shearer and Terry have both credited the quality of Chelsea’s Pochettino:
“What an inspiring coach and lovely bloke Mauricio is. Was great meeting up with him for an Athletic exclusive,” Shearer wrote on Twitter.
Terry responded on Twitter: “Great guy and top manager.”

We’re certainly feeling a lot more optimism from within the Blues fanbase at the start of Pochettino’s tenure.
That might not be the case if Chelsea lose this evening in the Premier League at home to Luton Town.

David Moyes recently described Pochettino as one of the best managers in the world, as quoted by West Ham’s official club website.
The Argentine’s CV is impressive and you always hear great things from players that have played under him.
We certainly couldn’t think of many better fits in the game right now to step into this specific coaching role at Chelsea to work with this young group.
