Chelsea travel up north to face Manchester United tomorrow night in a league showdown.
There’s a chance that Christopher Nkunku, 26, could be in a Chelsea matchday squad for the very first time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side visit Old Trafford on Wednesday evening in search of another three points in the Premier League, fresh off beating Brighton 3-2 at the weekend.
The Blues may have a potential injury boost going into the midweek fixture, too!

Chelsea injury news
Blues star Nkunku’s still patiently waiting to make his competitive debut for the club after injuring himself in pre-season.
Well-respected journalist Simon Phillips has now reported via his Substack some encouraging news about the French attacker.
Apparently, there’s hope that the £52million forward (Sky Sports) could make the squad this week versus Man United.
Phillips said: “A top source has just been in touch and once again there is hope Christopher Nkunku will make the squad on Wednesday, depending on how he comes through the next couple of training sessions.”
Christopher Nkunku may return against Manchester United
It’s going to give everybody a major lift when Nkunku’s name is finally included on a matchday.
TEAMtalk recently reported that there’s a real excitement within Chelsea’s doors for Nkunku to play for the club. The supporters are equally buzzing to see him in English football.
He developed into a fantastic player in Germany with RB Leipzig, scoring 23 goals in 36 games across all competitions last season for them.
Hopefully, the speedster can bring an extra edge to the forward line at Stamford Bridge.
Our guess is we’ll see Nkunku on the bench a couple of times before he’s actually back out on the pitch, but all the noise coming out in the media is that a return is imminent.
Let’s hope for some positive news from Pochettino in his pre-match press conference this afternoon.
