Journalist Dean Jones has now claimed that he believes Arsenal will actually pull away from a move for one player because of interest from Chelsea.
He told GiveMeSport that he thinks the Blues’ interest in Victor Osimhen would make the Gunners perhaps believe the price may go too high at the end of this season.
Despite some talk regarding a potential move in January, Osimhen stayed put at Napoli after signing his new deal.

However, he is expected to leave the club at the end of the season, with him personally stating that he knows where he will be playing his football next year.
It is surely going to take a huge fee to tempt the Serie A side into a deal, and a number of elite teams are going to be in for him.
However, Jones believes Arsenal could not be one of them due to interest from across the capital.
Arsenal may pull away from Osimhen
He said: “It’s a lot of money. I’d be flabbergasted if Arsenal exceeded the amount of money they spent on Declan Rice and that’s probably what it’s going to take to sign Osimhen.
“It’s never great to go head-to-head with Chelsea on a signing and that makes me feel like Arsenal might end up coming away from it. There are other players out there that I think could fit the bill for them.
“At the moment, even Ivan Toney though is being played down to me and people say inside the club that Toney’s not on the radar.
“We’ll have to wait and see about that because I have heard otherwise. But certainly Arsenal are going to be in the market for a player of that level.”
It does feel as if Chelsea will push hard for Osimhen as they look to finally solve their striking woes once and for all.
