Gabby Agbonlahor has told Chelsea to keep Conor Gallagher and get rid of Mykhailo Mudryk.
Blues midfielder Conor Gallagher, who’s 23, is a regular at Stamford Bridge this season.
However, The Daily Mail claimed this week that Chelsea may be prepared to listen to offers in the January transfer window for Gallagher. Could they really sell someone emerging as a key figure under Mauricio Pochettino?
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Mudryk’s spot in the line-up isn’t quite as secure. The 22-year-old winger is still desperately trying to justify his £88million price tag (Daily Mail).

Gabby Agbonlahor verdict
TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor has reacted to the speculation about Gallagher by claiming that Chelsea need to keep him in West London. However, he’s not been so kind about his teammate Mudryk.
When asked if it would be a mistake to let Gallagher leave Chelsea, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT (7:54am, 14 December): “It’s very, very silly. Let Mudryk go, he touch tackles, he can’t run with the ball.
“For me, Gallagher is a very good player but 50 games, three goals is not good enough. You want to see the Conor Gallagher from Crystal Palace, eight goals in 34 games.
“If he can get that form back, I would keep him and then Mudryk, you go.”
Keep Conor Gallagher, sell Mykhailo Mudryk
It’s an interesting take above from Agbonlahor, but we’d rather keep both for now.
Gallagher is one of the few Chelsea players this campaign performing at a consistently high level.
The central midfielder, who does so much work on and off the ball, definitely has an important role in this squad. The fact he’s been wearing the captain’s armband recently emphasises that, too.
As for Mudryk, we’re not prepared yet to give up on such a huge investment from the club.
The rapid attacker still looks extremely raw whenever he’s on the pitch and can be a real source of frustration for supporters, but there’s definitely something in there waiting to burst out.
Let’s hope both players are in good form when Chelsea host Sheffield United this weekend in the Premier League.
