N’Golo Kante still has a lot of love for Chelsea, despite leaving the club all those years ago.

N’Golo Kante‘s seven-year stint at Chelsea cemented his status as a club legend. Joining from Leicester City in 2016, the Frenchman became one of the key men behind the Blues’ success.

He made 269 appearances, conquering nearly every major trophy available, winning the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup, while personally scooping up the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year.

What N’Golo Kante told Malo Gusto about Chelsea

When talking to Chelsea, Malo Gusto opened up about his surprising close bond with N’Golo Kante.

And the best thing about the interaction was the fact that Kante still adores Chelsea and only has fond memories from his time at Stamford Bridge.

Here’s what Gusto said.

“For me, he’s one of the best midfielders that France has ever had. So, you have to learn from these players, even from a human side. He is a top guy.

“When I first played for France, he was there and he was talking to me about Chelsea. He was asking how the club is and he is a legend here. He is really attached to this club, and I’m really proud to play with these kinds of players.”

N’Golo Kante doing Chelsea a favour

N’Golo Kante is quietly aiding Chelsea from afar.

Gusto admitted he is deeply inspired by Kante’s human qualities and his emotional attachment to the London club. This massive influence from a revered club legend has stuck with him at a critical moment amid mounting transfer interest from Manchester City and former boss Enzo Maresca.

Perhaps Kante’s glowing words serve as a powerful reminder of what it means to achieve greatness at Chelsea, potentially making the young defender think twice about jumping ship.
