Mauricio Pochettino and Armando Broja agree 20-year-old Chelsea player did something brilliant vs Fulham

Levi Colwill’s brilliant assist in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Fulham last night was one of so many big positives.

The Blues were the much better side in Friday’s 2-0 away victory at Craven Cottage over rivals Fulham.

Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja both scored first-half goals to secure three Premier League points, which moves the team up to 11th in the table.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side certainly took the momentum of beating Brighton in the Carabao Cup last week into the Premier League.

Levi Colwill should be very happy with his own individual performance on Friday.

The 20-year-old versatile defender, starting at left-back again, produced a sensational assist for Mudryk’s opening goal with his chipped through ball on his strong left foot.

Speaking in post-match interviews via Chelsea’s YouTube account, Blues head coach Pochettino and striker Broja both hailed the Colwill pass.

Pochettino commented on the first goal: “Amazing assist [from Colwill] and very good finish.”

Broja added: “It’s good when we get that early goal. Fantastic ball from Levi to Mudryk and then he scored.”

Blues attacker Cole Palmer praised Colwill on Instagram last night after his assist first-half assist.

It looks like the youngster’s position in this XI is fixed right now, whether that’s at left-back or centre-back.

He’s looking more and more settled with every passing week in this team, so we’re expecting his performance to keep improving throughout his debut season in the Blues first team.

There’s no doubt his passing range can be such an effective tool moving forward for Pochettino’s men.
