Chelsea have not been afraid to make signings in areas they think is important to give adequate backing to their new manager this summer.
Enzo Maresca has seen a number of new players come through the door, some of whom will be competing for a place in his starting squad on Sunday.
He will be well aware of the talents of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, after working closely with him last season at Leicester.
A new goalkeeper has also given him a decision to make, with the signing of Filip Jorgensen competing for minutes with Robert Sanchez.
The former Villarreal man was signed after a number of targets were mentioned, with one of those being Giorgi Mamardashvilli.

Pochettino wanted Giorgi Mamardashvili before Chelsea sacked him
He now looks as if he is on his way to Liverpool after being linked with a £30m move, however this could have been a different story if Mauricio Pochettino had got his way.
According to journalism_rp, the Argentine requested that the club sign him before he was sacked this summer.
He said: “Chelsea last considered Giorgi Mamardashvilli in March under Pochettino’s request. They quickly decided against pursuing him this summer in June. GM – though talented did not fit into Enzo Maresca’s plans and there were serious concerns about his ability to play out.”
It has been reported that these issues are behind Chelsea’s doubts over whether Petrovic can feature in Maresca’s system.
Djordje Petrovic back in Chelsea training
The goalkeeper did return to first team training yesterday despite not being on the pre-season tour of the United States.
It remains to be seen if Jorgensen is handed the start for the first Premier League game of the season against Manchester City on Sunday.
Sanchez will still be hoping he has done enough this summer to prove that he should be handed the start and the chance to prove that he should remain as the number one for the foreseeable future.
