Mauricio Pochettino is said to have high hopes for Armando Broja when the Chelsea No.19 finally returns to action.
That is according to the Evening Standard.
So, what is the latest on Armando Broja? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Albania international has been absent since December after suffering a serious knee injury during a friendly against Aston Villa.
Broja has been focusing on his recovery at Cobham ever since – and even received interest from Jose Mourinho during the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old eventually stayed at Stamford Bridge, and is now back in “partial” training according to the Evening Standard.

By the sounds of it, Pochettino is looking forward to having Broja available for selection.
The Argentine is said to be excited about what the Slough-born striker can bring to the side, although the Evening Standard add that he is not expected to play until “well after” the end of the upcoming international break.
Time out of the Chelsea side may actually benefit Broja right now
It doesn’t take a genius to see that Chelsea simply haven’t got going yet this season – the Blues have only picked up four points from four Premier League games so far, scoring just five goals in those outings.
The attack looks a bit disjointed, and in that respect, it may actually benefit Broja to be out of the spotlight.

In the time that the Chelsea academy graduate builds up his fitness, Pochettino will hopefully figure out a way to make the attack more cohesive.
Should that be the case, then Broja would be more likely to enjoy his return in a free-flowing side.
If he was available now, goals might be hard to come by as Chelsea struggle to create chances.
Hopefully, all goes to plan with Broja’s recovery, and he can avoid any setbacks.
