Mauricio Pochettino has definitely been one of the more successful managers under BlueCo’s Chelsea.
In his one and only season at the club, he got Chelsea into the Carabao Cup final and back into Europe after guiding them to sixth in the table.
Pochettino also had input in one very successful signing Chelsea made in the 2023 summer transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino confirms he was involved in Cole Palmer and Axel Disasi signings
Chelsea’s co-director of recruitment and talent Joe Shields gets a lot of credit for the signing of Cole Palmer from Manchester City, but Pochettino also had a say in that transfer.
Both the attacking midfielder and Axel Disasi were players Pochettino said yes to when they were proposed to him as transfer targets.
Speaking on Stick to Football, the USA manager said: “Being fair, I support all the business when we are right. When we signed, it was already done, all the business, all the signing. I was only involved in, I was involved at this, I say okay, to when we signed Disasi, because [Wesley] Fofana was injured in pre-season, and Cole Palmer I think in this too, we were involved in the decision.”

In the end, things did not quite work out for Disasi, who is currently battling relegation with West Ham United after joining them on loan during the January transfer window.
However, Palmer has proven to be one of the best signings that Chelsea have ever made. He only cost an initial £40m but already has 85 goal contributions to his name as a Chelsea player.
Palmer is not having the best season, largely because of injury, but he is still a top attacker and has proven that in a blue shirt.
Chelsea as a whole have struggled this term, and Tim Sherwood now believes Palmer could ask to leave if the club do not qualify for the Champions League, which looks highly likely.
Mauricio Pochettino’s win rate compared to Liam Rosenior’s
During his time at Chelsea, Pochettino took charge of 51 games, won 27, drew 10 and lost 14, giving him a win rate of roughly 53%.
In his very short spell at the club, Liam Rosenior took charge of 23 games, won 11, drew two and lost 10. His win rate was around 48%.
We were too harsh on Poch!
For a Chelsea manager, neither win ratio was high enough, but it is quite clear who did a much better job.
