Chelsea present and future were united today following the official presentation of Mykhailo Mudryk.

Mudryk was in attendance at Stamford Bridge to watch his new teammates in action against Crystal Palace earlier today.

The 22-year-old’s huge move from Shakhtar Donetsk was announced on social media during the London derby.

He was exhibited to fans in the flesh at half-time in the capital city clash this afternoon, but not before he was introduced to a few faces in the stands.

One of those being Chelsea academy graduate Levi Colwill, who was relieved from Brighton & Hove Albion duty to support his boyhood club.

Colwill and Mudryk were pictured shaking hands with one another, a meeting of two players destined for long careers in the sport.

Professions that could largely be spent as a Blue.

Mudryk signed an eight-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League side, deciding not to join Arsenal, despite huge interest from Mikel Arteta’s employers.

Meanwhile, Colwill will reportedly heavily be involved with Chelsea once he finishes life out on loan.

He and the latest attacking recruit really do represent a change under Todd Boehly.

Both are young, vibrant and full of room for growth.

They could well lead Chelsea in to a different dawn, as long as they are managed correctly.
