Nemanja Matic suggests that Mauricio Pochettino could be a good appointment as Chelsea’s next manager.
Roma midfielder Matic, 34, spent a couple of spells at Chelsea earlier in his career.
The Serbian won three Premier League medals during his time at Stamford Bridge before going on to Manchester United.
He’s given a big thumbs up when asked about the Chelsea speculation linking them to Mauricio Pochettino.
When asked if Pochettino could be a good fit for the Blues, Matic told Sky Sports:
“He’s a great manager. He showed at Spurs and PSG that he can play some great football. He has experience and I know he’s very professional and a very honest person, so why not?” Matic said.
Blues supporters are patiently waiting to hear an official announcement regarding Pochettino’s appointment.
All the rumours in the media from the past two weeks points towards the 51-year-old coach taking the manager’s job at the Bridge next season.

Hopefully, fans get a concrete answer in the next few days.
He’s been out of work since leaving French giants Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, but he looks set for a return to the Premier League.
There’s plenty of comments from within football lately that approve of Pochettino moving to Chelsea.
For example, Joe Cole said last week that Pochettino “fits perfectly” for the Chelsea job right now. The former Tottenham coach has experience working and developing a young squad, something he’ll need to do in West London.
Elsewhere, pundit Gary Neville predicts that Chelsea could have a really good season next year under the Argentine manager.
If the next manager can find the right formula with this young Blues squad, they should have something quite special.
