TalkSPORT pundit Danny Murphy has claimed he can’t see Chelsea hiring Diego Simeone if they sack Graham Potter.
The former Brighton man reportedly has the firm backing of the ownership at Stamford Bridge, despite the dire form they find themselves in.
However, recent claims have suggested there is an added pressure on tonight’s London derby against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
With managers such as Mauricio Pochettino floating about without a job, there may be slightly more temptation than there should be to pull the trigger on the Potter project.
It has been reported that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is set to leave his role in Spain after 12 years with the club he used to play for.
With the managerial uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, there could be links for the Argentine to take on the Premier League with Chelsea.

Murphy has claimed that he cannot see the Blues hiring him, with his desired style of football being a factor in clubs not looking to hire him.
He said: “No, I can’t see anyone spending the money on him. He earns a fortune and even if he wanted half of that, there is only two or three clubs who are going to pay it.
“Furthermore I think so many owners now are aware of the style of football fans want.”
Despite the poor run of form, there is a clear reason many will point to as for why things aren’t going to plan.
Injuries have hit the Blues hard this season, particularly to key players in positions where cover is not readily available.
This has notably been the case as far as Reece James is concerned. The club have been unable to find a suitable replacement for the England international since his injury issues.
