Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo has claimed that Chelsea are not currently looking to sign Paulo Dybala from Roma.
He took to Twitter to state that they were not interested in the deal despite the very achievable release clause that he has in his contract.
Rumours last week began to link Dybala with a sensational switch to Stamford Bridge, something many will have wanted over the years.

These reports continued to spiral when it was claimed that the new Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, had specifically wanted the club to make him one of their additions this summer.
Add to this comments made by Thiago Silva at Silverstone yesterday, and there was real optimism regarding his future that could potentially involve him in West London.
Chelsea don’t want Dybala
However, Merlo has claimed that the World Cup winner is not part of the plans at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “Paulo Dybala will not go to Chelsea. Despite the rumours, the club is not interested in getting the pass. He has a current contract with Rome and two exit clauses: €12M (abroad) and €15M (in Italy).”

Currently, it seems that all of the club’s efforts in the market are focused on the midfield, a position that is clearly one where they need to strengthen.
It is widely claimed that they are focusing their attention of Brighton’s Moises Caicedo. They have been admirers of the Ecuador international since back in January when they had a bid rejected for him.
It has been claimed that they are in negotiations with the Seagulls regarding the deal, although they are going about it in a different way which will allow them to have their bid accepted when they make it.
