Thiago Silva has now spoken to Paulo Dybala about a move to Chelsea – amid reports Mauricio Pochettino and Todd Boehly have made a move.
It was Pedro Almeida who claimed that Chelsea have already begun their pursuit of the Argentina international, after opening talks with his representatives.
So, what did Thiago Silva say about Paulo Dybala and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Brazilian was interviewed by Sky Sports at the F1 – where he discussed rumours about the Roma No.21 moving to Stamford Bridge.
Silva said: “I saw Paulo here (at the British Grand Prix) and they talk about him at Chelsea. I hope he arrives. I’ve talked with him and asked him if he is coming. He is a world class player.”
Clearly, the 38-year-old would be delighted if Chelsea manage to sign the South American.

By the sounds of it, Pochettino can have Dybala for a bargain price.
The aforementioned Almeida – a respected journalist – claims that the Argentine has a release clause worth just €12m (£10m) to clubs outside of Italy.
Roma fearful about losing Dybala to Chelsea
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are a bit worried about losing their 29-year-old forward to Chelsea this summer.
The Italian news outlet believe Jose Mourinho’s side feel they need to offer Dybala a pay rise in order for him to ignore interest from the Blues.

Ultimately, Chelsea will be able to better whatever Roma offer Dybala given the riches of those in the Premier League, especially as the small £10m fee means there would still be plenty of financial wriggle-room left for the Blues to bump up their salary offer.
The World Cup winner is believed to earn £138,000-a-week at the Stadio Olimpico.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Silva makes it clear he would love to see the Roma forward at Chelsea.
