Opta’s famous supercomputer is at it again, this time predicting the victor from Chelsea’s upcoming Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.
Enzo Maresca takes his men to the Allianz Arena to get Chelsea‘s Champions League campaign underway.
According to Opta, Chelsea only have a 7% chance of winning the whole tournament, with Liverpool being their clear favourites.
Opta’s supercomputer has not given the Blues much of a chance of beating Bayern either.

Opta supercomputer predicts Bayern Munich win
Being at home and having one of the strongest attacks in Europe, unsurprisingly, Bayern are the favourites heading into the game.
Opta’s supercomputer has given them a 54.9% chance of winning all three points, while Chelsea have been handed just a 23% chance of securing an away victory.
Vincent Kompany’s men were on fire in their last outing, beating Hamburg 5-0 in the Bundesliga.
Nicolas Jackson, who joined Bayern on loan from Chelsea at the end of the summer transfer window, made his debut that day.
Jackson did receive offers from other clubs, but the striker only had eyes for the German champions. He could now be set to face them, with UEFA not forbidding loanees from playing against their parent club.
Bayern director of sport Max Eberl is excited about the Champions League tie, impressed with Chelsea’s performance at the Club World Cup. Eberl claimed that Chelsea deserved their trophy following their 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

The Chelsea Chronicle’s Bayern Munich vs Chelsea prediction
If Chelsea are to get even a draw, they are going to have to score. Their defending against a Brentford side who no longer have Bryan Mbeumo or Yoane Wissa was very unconvincing.
They are now set to face the likes of Harry Kane and Michael Olise, two exceptional attackers.
The Blues’ attack is not bad either, of course. Therefore, The Chelsea Chronicle is predicting a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, which most Chelsea fans would probably take now.
