Journalist Daniel Taylor has now claimed that he is stunned about one thing he’s heard regarding Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos and his loan move to Nottingham Forest.
He told The Athletic that he is perplexed as to why the deal even took place, with him claiming that it is one of many deals that manager Steve Cooper didn’t really have any say in.
Santos is yet to start a Premier League game at all this season, with him only being given a handful of minutes in the top flight.

This has been a nightmare scenario for Chelsea, who have high hopes for the Brazil international after bringing him in just under a year ago.
There are now reports that he is going to be recalled in January, with it likely that the club look for another home for him that brings more football.
Taylor has hinted though that given the manager’s lack of influence on the deal, he was perhaps never going to get a great opportunity.
Santos loan deal confusing
He said: “The Andrey Santos deal, in particular, always seemed really strange to me and I’m told it can be added to the list of transfers — Gustavo Scarpa, Jesse Lingard, Andrew Omobamidele and a few others — that didn’t really involve Cooper to a great degree.
“Why sign an 18-year-old on loan from another Premier League club? If Chelsea thought Santos was ready for top-division football, they would have kept him. It just doesn’t make sense.”
Considering there was more excitement from some over the addition of Santos than that of Enzo Fernandez, many will be frustrated that they have not seen their man in action this season.
It looks as if they are ready to find him a new home, and hopefully see him return to form soon.
