Reports have claimed that Chelsea have changed their mind about allowing teenager Malik Mothersille to leave the club at the end of the season.
According to The Athletic, the Blues have begun talks over securing the 18-year-old’s future with a brand new contract.
The club are currently assessing their options in the striking department as they prepare to go into the second half of the season without Armando Broja.

The Albanian was forced off on a stretcher after he went down injured in the friendly match against Aston Villa last weekend.
His screams of agony at the time were perhaps a sign of the news that was to come, with it now being confirmed he is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
This has left Chelsea scrambling for options to help them through the rest of this season. It has already been claimed they are considering entering the market to sign a reinforcement.
Chelsea U-turn over Mothersille
Names such as Youssoufa Moukoko have been mentioned as a potential signing, especially given that his contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the season.
However, there may be an eye to the ever-impressive academy at Cobham.
The Athletic have claimed that the club have now changed their mind on allowing promising striker Mothersille to leave, with him beginning to outperform his competition in the youth sides.

He has particularly impressed in EFL Trophy action, a competition which gives the youngsters the chance to test themselves against opposition in League One.
He has four goals in three games in that competition, form which saw him given an opportunity with the first team in Abu Dhabi.
He was used as a substitute in the friendly match against Aston Villa last weekend, and it remains to be seen whether Graham Potter considers giving him more opportunities in the coming weeks.
