Reports have claimed that Chelsea are going to look to sign Romeo Lavia if they are unable to complete a deal for Moises Caicedo.
According to the Mail Online confidential, they will walk away from negotiations with Brighton if they are unable to come to an agreement with them over the Ecuador international.
In the midfielder merry-go round that is currently ongoing in football, Lavia is a domino who is still waiting to fall.

He is still currently with Southampton, who are preparing for a season back in the Championship after relegation from the top flight.
However, interest has been rife in his services, and Chelsea have been one of the sides who have been keen on bringing him in.
Chelsea could move to Caicedo
He does not appear to currently be their priority though, with them locked in negotiations with Brighton over potentially signing Caicedo.
The saga regarding the Ecuador international has been one that has dragged over the window already, with the Blues and Brighton deep in discussions.

The club will be hoping to find a solution to this before they travel to the United States for their pre-season tour, which they are expected to leave for in a week.
However, it is realistic to believe that they may not be as far along as they have if things were close to being done, and some supporters may already be worried they are not going to get the deal over the line.
If that does happen, a move for Lavia would need to not be the only signing of the summer in that position. Despite being described as a ‘rare’ player, he has not got the experience to be the addition who starts every game alongside Enzo Fernandez next season.
