Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was reportedly left shocked by some of the players that were included in Chelsea’s Champions League squad instead of him.
Aubameyang, 33, played in all six of Chelsea’s group stage matches during this season’s Champions League, scoring in both matches against AC Milan.
However, the striker was omitted from the Blues squad they submitted for the knockout stages.
January signings Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk were all included in Chelsea’s new-look squad for the Champions League, with Aubameyang among the casualties to miss out. Unfortunately, the sheer size of Graham Potter’s squad has left him with some really tough decisions to make.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can’t believe it
According to The Athletic, Aubameyang was ‘shocked’ that currently-injured Christian Pulisic was included in Chelsea’s Champions League squad over him.
He can’t believe Hakim Ziyech also made the final cut, too.
£58million winger Pulisic hasn’t played since the start of January due to a knee problem. In fact, journalist Simon Phillips claimed last month that the 24-year-old may have left Stamford Bridge in the January window if not for his injury.
Meanwhile, The Athletic explained that 29-year-old winger Hakim Ziyech missed out on a loan to Paris Saint-Germain in the final hours of the January window.

Aubameyang is unable to play in any Champions League ties for the rest of the season.
As for the Premier League, he’s not been able to earn a spot in the match day squad for the last two games.
His omission continues to be a real surprise to the fanbase given the team’s issues in the No.9 position.
For Potter, he’s put his faith recently in Kai Havertz as the frontline striker.
