Reports have claimed that Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz is unlikely to be gifted a move to Real Madrid this summer.

According to The Athletic, the La Liga side will only be able to sign the 23-year-old if the Blues are willing to offer them a bargain deal.

Reports broke in the last week that Havertz was the subject of interest of Madrid, with it being led by manager and former Blues coach Carlo Ancelotti.

However, it quickly emerged that the finances surrounding a deal will be difficult for them to come to an agreement on. The London club will not be wanting to lose out on too much money.

It has now emerged that Arsenal are a reported potential destination for the German to join before next season, with him seemingly making it clear that he doesn’t want to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid unlikely for Havertz

Chelsea supporters will likely not be too disheartened to hear the news that the forward could be on the move. His inconstancies have been clear to see ever since his move from the Bundesliga.

His biggest fans will argue that he has not been utilised in his strongest position at all in West London, with a role behind the striker hardly being available in Chelsea systems up until now.

Even though it can be claimed that Mauricio Pochettino will likely utilise this role for the upcoming campaign, it seems as if his preference is to use new signing Christopher Nkunku in the role.

This has even seen the new manager say no to resigning Joao Felix for another season on loan or permanently.
