Chelsea have made themselves known in numerous potential deals as the transfer window enters it’s final hours.
It has been widely claimed that they are interested in signing a new striker today, with the names of Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney frequently cropping up in reports.
However, both are also the target of Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, although they are reportedly only allowed to sign one of the two.
Rival clubs shocked at how Chelsea are doing deals
They have also been looking for creative ways to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, with a number of different types of deal being suggested.
Chelsea have seemingly not been afraid to approach clubs directly for deals. Journalist Miguel Delaney has claimed in his newsletter that some clubs are surprised at the nature they are doing their business.
He said: “Chelsea have only one loan spot to fill, so are actively trying to make sales or swaps. It is that which is injecting proper energy into the day, as they approach clubs. Some executives have even been surprised at the directness of some offers.
“An ongoing problem through the day, that has characterised this window, is that players themselves have a lot of leverage due to the contracts they have been given. They can easily just say ‘no’.
“Raheem Sterling would be the most illustrative example there, except he is hugely keen on a move to Arsenal and willing to take a wage cut.”

Chelsea have been pretty desperate to move on Raheem Sterling this summer, with him completely out of Enzo Maresca’s plans for the new season.
Today has seen Chelsea approach Arsenal for a deal, with them having an admiration for him.
It is currently looking unlikely that a deal for the England international to take him away from Stamford Bridge will be reached, with his wage and contract making it very difficult to find any suitors to take him.
