BBC Pundit Micah Richards has claimed that he believes Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling is actually really underrated.
He claimed on the ‘Match of the Day Top 10’ podcast that the England international is actually one of the best players of the current generation.
Sterling has begun to find his feet again for the Blues this season after a difficult first season in West London.

There was a lot of expectation on Sterling’s shoulders following his £50m move from Manchester City, with many expecting him to lead the side going forwards.
Things certainly didn’t work out for either the club or player last season. However, things are looking up right now.
Richards praises Sterling
Showcased perfectly in his last match where he was involved heavily in all four goals, the attacks are beginning to revolve around Sterling again.
Richards has now claimed that throughout his career, the 28-year-old has been heavily underrated.
He said: “Sterling’s so underrated you know. When he was leaving, I remember an interview they did with Zabaleta, and he said he’s not a legend. I always feel like there’s a question mark over Sterling’s name no matter what he does.

“He was amazing at Liverpool, comes to Man City, rips it up. He goes to Chelsea, okay they’re not performing the greatest, but I just think he’s one of the greatest players of my generation. He always turns up [for England].”
Despite the impressive form of Mykhailo Mudryk, it looks as if Sterling is undroppable at the moment when he is fit.
He will likely be an important player for Mauricio Pochettino in their next Premier League game against Arsenal after the international break.
