Stan Collymore has predicted the result ahead of tomorrow’s clash between Chelsea and Manchester City.

Chelsea play their final game before the international break at home to Man City on Sunday, with the match kicking off at 4:30pm at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have 10 points in their previous five Premier League games to signify a turn in the season. They’re also into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals against Newcastle United, too.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side may need to be at their very best to turn over Man City in the league this weekend.

Chelsea vs Manchester City prediction

Stan Collymore doesn’t think Chelsea will be able to record back-to-back wins after beating Tottenham earlier in the week. Instead, he’s predicting a Man City victory at the Bridge.

Collymore wrote in his CaughtOffside column: “The featured game in the Premier League this weekend is Chelsea vs. Manchester City. It’s a free hit for Pochettino and his Blues side. They’ll look at this game and know they’re huge underdogs, and rightly so, and say ‘Let’s just go for it’.

“I think the home team will score but I still expect City will come out on top. I think the full-time result will be either 2-1 or 3-1 City.”

Elsewhere, speaking via talkSPORT this week, Jason Cundy predicts Chelsea will draw against Man City on Sunday.

The key players

If the Blues are to upset Man City in the upcoming fixture, all their players are likely to need 8/10 match ratings. In particular, there’s a few individuals we’re banking on giving top performances.

First of all, we expect Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to be busy in-between the sticks.

On top of that, the Blues defence will need to be strong and together to nullify City’s top quality attackers. For instance, Reece James may be tasked with silencing the in-form Jeremy Doku.

We expect Conor Gallagher in the No 10 position to be given the tricky assignment of getting around Man City’s deep-lying playmaker Rodri as much as possible.

Finally, can Cole Palmer provide the extra bit of magic to create for his attackers against his former club?
