Jason Cundy has made his pre-match prediction ahead of Chelsea against Manchester City this weekend.

Chelsea host Man City on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, which is the final game before November’s international break.

The Blues go into the league fixture at Stamford Bridge fresh off a 4-1 win at Tottenham. There’s definitely proof that Mauricio Pochettino’s side can compete with the clubs at the top end of the division this year.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Man City team are on a five-game winning streak across all competitions. They’re top of the league standings right now, too.

Chelsea vs Manchester City prediction

TalkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy, who’s also a Chelsea fan, is predicting the Blues to get a draw versus Man City in tomorrow’s game. There’s certainly not a lot of confidence with that statement, though.

Cundy told talkSPORT: “I don’t really believe this. But you never back against your team, I find it hard. And this is the game. I was at Stamford Bridge a few years ago, it was 2-0, and it was the biggest drubbing of a 2-0 you’ll ever see. They tore us apart. I’m going to go for a draw. But I’m not totally convinced. When you’re not convinced you go 1-1, don’t you.”

Elsewhere, speaking via BBC Sport this week, Chris Sutton has predicted a Chelsea defeat against Man City.

Settled team

We’re not quite all the way there yet, but there’s no doubt the Chelsea XI is looking more settled now than it has in the past year.

There’s the odd argument to have when it comes to the best centre-back partnership. Also, there’s some healthy competition in the wide areas. But it’s been refreshing to see Pochettino stick with the same crop of individuals on a weekly basis as he tries to implement his ideas.

The Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the starting line-up that Pochettino may select against Man City. This includes two changes from the Spurs win.

If the Blues are to spring a surprise this weekend, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher will need to play at their best in midfield.
