Stan Collymore has made his prediction on which position Chelsea will finish in the Premier League this season.
We’re now 10 games into the Premier League season, and the table is beginning to take shape.
The Blues have accumulated just 12 points from their opening 10 league games, which leaves them 11th in the division standings.
Next, Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to league leaders Tottenham on Monday night.

Stan Collymore prediction
The 2023/24 campaign is only a quarter of the way through, but Collymore has already discounted Chelsea from ending up in the Champions League positions.
Instead, he reckons that Pochettino is likely to finish between 7th-9th during his first season as the Blues head coach.
Collymore wrote for CaughtOffside: “They play Chelsea this weekend who are a work in progress and will only finish as a ‘best of the rest’ in seventh, eighth or ninth.”
Underdogs this Monday
In fairness, Tottenham’s fast start to the season does make them favourite when they host Chelsea on Monday night.
If you’re objectively looking at their respective starts to the season, Spurs look far more settled under Ange Postecoglou.
However, there’s been a couple of surprise pre-match prediction.
Speaking via Sportskeeda this week, Paul Merson predicted Chelsea to record a surprise win over Spurs. Similarly, David Seaman told the Seaman Says podcast that he thinks Chelsea will beat Spurs.
We’re not quite a confident as some of these pundits, but it’s fair to point out that the Blues look better this year against the top sides. It’s a nightmare for Chelsea to try break down a low block when team sit deep against them, but we can’t picture Postecoglou’s Spurs ever doing that.
