Darren Ambrose thinks Chelsea’s Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah would be fantastic signings for Tottenham this summer.

Chelsea have a number of talented centre-halves on their books, including academy graduates Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah.

Colwill, who’s only 20, is a Blues-owned defender currently impressing during a season-long loan with Brighton. We think the young defender has a big future ahead of him at Stamford Bridge.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has recently claimed there’s no chance Colwill will be sold by Chelsea unless he demands to leave.

Meanwhile, Chalobah is a talented defender in Chelsea’s first-team squad right now. The 23-year-old can’t cement a spot in Graham Potter’s starting line-up, but he’s shown just how good he can be when he plays.

Journalist Simon Phillips recently reported that Chalobah could end up being sold by Chelsea this summer.

TalkSPORT pundit Darren Ambrose has suggested two of Chelsea’s young English defenders would be great for Spurs.

“I would take Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah [at Spurs] and try and improve those two players. I think they’d fit well into the team straight away,” Ambrose told talkSPORT (28 March, 9.50pm).

Chelsea fans don’t usually feel comfortable with any of their players joining rivals Spurs, especially when they are young and have big potential.

We don’t want Colwill or Chalobah leaving Chelsea this summer, especially if Graham Potter plans to stick with a back three system.

Both should have a realistic chance of contributing in the Blues squad next season, but it will come down to the mindset of each individual.

Colwill looks destined for the stars! If he was sold to Spurs, there would be riots outside Stamford Bridge.

As for Chalobah, it feels a little bit different for a player who turns 24 in July. He’s now good enough to be starting for several teams in the Premier League, so it must be very frustrating whenever he’s on the Chelsea bench.
