Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland are probably the two best players in the Premier League at the moment.
Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer are the two highest scorers this season, while the latter just recorded four goals in a single game for Chelsea.
Palmer inspired Chelsea to a 4-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion over the weekend, netting four times in the first half.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has claimed that you cannot defend one-v-one against Palmer.

Scott Minto chooses Chelsea’s Cole Palmer over Manchester City’s Erling Haaland
Haaland has probably been the best striker in the world for the last few seasons now.
He scored 38 goals in the last campaign and 52 in the one before that. Nevertheless, Scott Minto has still gone with Palmer when asked to pick between the two.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Chelsea player said: “If I had to choose between Cole Palmer or Erling Haaland to be in my side, I’d go for Cole Palmer.”
Palmer’s numbers are not exactly terrible either. Last term, the 22-year-old came up with 40 goal contributions in 45 appearances for Chelsea.
Palmer wanted to score more than four goals against Brighton, showing how elite the England international’s mentality is.
Manchester City could have had Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer in the same team
City must be kicking themselves right now, as they could have had Haaland and Palmer shining together at the Etihad.
Instead, they decided to sell their academy product to Chelsea in a deal that they must be sorely regretting.
Their loss, though, has obviously proven to be Chelsea’s gain. Who knows where Enzo Maresca‘s team would be without him?
With him, however, the Blues have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League, already sitting in fourth place.

Jamie O’Hara thinks Chelsea could even challenge for the title. It is early days, but if Palmer puts in more performances like his Brighton one, then Maresca’s men are going to have a really good season.
After coming sixth and 12th in the last two campaigns, though, Chelsea will just be happy to finish in fourth this term.
