Chelsea’s preparations for the 2024/25 season are well underway as they look to build on their improvements from last season.
The Blues certainly took some steps forwards under Mauricio Pochettino, registering a sixth placed finish and qualifying for the Europa Conference League.
There will no doubt be ambition to build on this though under Enzo Maresca, and work is already taking place at Cobham to get them in the best position to do so.

Chelsea players have been really happy with Maresca’s sessions so far since taking over, and they will be travelling to the United States for their pre-season tour in the coming days.
Already, murmurs have begun to emerge of differences in training noticed between the two managers’ times at the club, and one big one has been noted.
Maresca’s instructions a lot clearer than Pochettino’s
According to the Mail Online, it has been noted that the tactical instructions the Italian is looking to implement are coming across a lot clearer than they did with his predecessor.
The new boss has certainly implemented a hands-on approach to his coaching in the first few days at Cobham.
Maresca was heard praising a number of individual players for their efforts, as they look to make their case for a place in the squad for next season.
Maresca preparing for Manchester City
A lot will begin to come clear about who will feature in the opening game of the season against Manchester City when the Blues begin their pre-season on Thursday with the friendly against Wrexham.
After that, they will take on a number of Europe’s elite, including their Premier League opening opponents, as they prepare for a busy campaign.
The long contract that Maresca has been handed suggests there is plenty of confidence that he can be the one who takes the project to where the owners want it go, and will therefore be delighted with how the players seem to already be on board with him at Cobham.
