Pundit Robbie Earle has now given his take on who he believes is the better striker out of Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and Rasmus Hojlund.

He told NBC Sports that he believes the Manchester United man is a more natural finisher, something which he doesn’t see in the Blue right now.

Jackson has endured a tough start to life at Stamford Bridge, with it not being hidden at Stamford Bridge just how the crowd are beginning to feel about him.

Mauricio Pochettino came out after the last game against Crystal Palace and defended the 22-year-old, who had been the subject of some tough love from the home crowd.

Over at Old Trafford, it took Hojlund until Boxing Day to score his first Premier League goal for Manchester United in the 3-2 win over Aston Villa.

He did find his feet quickly in the Champions League, however his goals there didn’t even result in them finishing above bottom of the group.

Earle chooses between Jackson and Hojlund

However, this has not stopped Earle seemingly putting the Manchester United man above Jackson in any form of rankings.

He said: “When I see him [Rasmus Hojlund] and Nicolas Jackson, there’s a lot different level in those two.

“They’re both young, they’re both coming into the league, Hojlund’s got a different feel around him.

“He rushes things a little bit, he’s caught a little bit indecisive but he’s a finisher. I don’t see that in Jackson.”

Jackson could be set to miss a long period of time in the coming weeks as he goes to represent his nation at the African Cup of Nations.

This will likely see Armando Broja finally handed an extended run of games in the side, with it perhaps being his last chance to establish himself as a future starter at Chelsea in the coming years.
