Chelsea have several talented individuals in their team right now that are proving to be tough opponents for sides in the Premier League.
As it stands, Chelsea sit fourth in the Premier League table after the opening 10 gameweeks. Next, the Blues host fifth-placed Arsenal this weekend in their final league match before the international break.
Interestingly, Craig Burley claims Arsenal are still in a title race but Chelsea are not.
It definitely feels too soon to talk about the Blues in the title picture. However, Enzo Maresca’s side must be in the conversation for the top four with the way that the opening quarter of the season has gone for them.

Tim Sherwood thinks Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo would be tough opponent
Tim Sherwood, who won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers back in 1995, has delivered high praise on Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo after his recent performance.
Caicedo, 23, delivered an outstanding individual display as the Blues salvaged a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United at the weekend. He scored the equalising goal with a stunning volley from outside the penalty box, plus the midfield star covered every blade of grass at Old Trafford.
When discussing Caicedo via the Premier League’s official website, Sherwood said: “I like him, I really do. Out of possession, I think he’s fantastic. I wouldn’t want to play against him out of possession. In possession, I don’t think he’s going to hurt you with the ball, his range of passing is not the best. But he certainly gives everything and leaves nothing on that pitch.”
Former Chelsea star Thiago Silva hailed Caicedo after his Man United performance, where he reinforced a fantastic run of form so far this season.
Moises Caicedo is so busy in midfield
Chelsea supporters will enjoy watching Caicedo offering so much to Maresca’s team right now.
Fotmob data has provided Caicedo’s eye-catching statistics in the Premier League this season:
| Defensive actions | Per 90 |
| Tackles won | 2.23 |
| Duels won | 6.91 |
| Aerial duels won | 1.02 |
| Interceptions | 1.73 |
| Fouls committed | 2.03 |
| Recoveries | 5.18 |
Micah Richards thinks Caicedo has rediscovered his confidence at Chelsea. It certainly looks like that when you examine the way that the midfielder is consistently performing with high-energy displays, particularly with his intense work off the ball.
It’s too soon to claim that the Blues have found their new N’Golo Kante in the centre of the park. However, there’s definitely shades of that in the way that Caicedo performs, but can he keep this up for a long period of time?
