Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea’s Cesare Casadei is today going to complete his loan move away from the club.

He took to Twitter to state that the documents are ready for the youngster to be announced as a new Leicester City player.

It has been well-known for a while now that Casadei’s future for this season was going to be away from Stamford Bridge.

This is despite him impressing during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States. Mauricio Pochettino led his side to an unbeaten campaign.

He mentioned the Italian as one of the players that had impressed, although a season away has been on the cards for some time for the player described as ‘really good’ by Roberto Mancini.

Originally, the club were hopeful that he would find a Premier League club, in order to get the best experience of what it will be like playing for Chelsea.

Casadei to go on loan today

However, Romano has claimed that it is a move to Leicester which is on the cards, after discussions with their manager Enzo Maresca.

He said: “Cesare Casadei will complete his move to Leicester on loan from Chelsea today. Documents are ready after deal agreed last week.

“Enzo Maresca already made contact with Casadei as he’s set to join the club. Here we go, confirmed.”

The midfield positions are being bolstered quite significantly in the final month of the summer transfer window, after it looked extremely inexperienced when they took the trip across the pond.

Yesterday saw them finally announce a deal to sign Moises Caicedo, after fierce negotiations with Brighton lasted throughout the majority of the window.

However, they got their man at last, and now may be adding to his addition with the potential signing of Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
