Tosin Adarabioyo sends cheeky three-word message to West Ham ahead of London derby

Chelsea travel to the London Stadium on Saturday to take on rivals West Ham United.

It is unlikely to be an easy game for Chelsea, who do not have the best record at West Ham’s new ground.

The Blues lost 3-1 there last season but will be feeling a bit confident after winning their first two away matches in the Premier League this term.

Tosin Adarabioyo seems quite confident, firing a cheeky warning to the Hammers on social media. However, the central defender is yet to start a game in the top flight under Enzo Maresca, while it has also been claimed that Todd Boehly has doubts about Adarabioyo.

Tosin Adarabioyo ready for West Ham trip

With Maresca settling on a centre-back partnership of Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana, Adarabioyo is unlikely to be named in the Italian’s first XI this weekend.

The 26-year-old looks ready for Saturday’s London derby, though, with a win being enough to take Chelsea into the top four before the teams above them play.

Ahead of the Blues’ trip to east London, Adarabioyo uploaded a post on X with the caption, “Bubbles to burst”, likely in reference to West Ham’s anthem I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles.

Chelsea signed Adarabioyo from another one of their London rivals Fulham, with the central defender joining them on a free transfer over the summer. Adarabioyo found it too hard to reject Chelsea.

Should Tosin Adarabioyo start against West Ham?

Chelsea’s centre-half pairing of Colwill and Fofana looks quite promising, but bringing in Adarabioyo for this game would actually make a lot of sense.

West Ham have some big players who can be a threat from set pieces, namely Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio.

Standing at 6’5″, Adarabioyo should be able to help Chelsea combat that. In the last game he started, Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Servette in the Conference League, Adarabioyo won three out of the four aerial duels he competed in, according to Sofascore.
