Chelsea travel to Old Trafford on Saturday evening to face rivals Manchester United in the Premier League. Of course, plenty of attention will be on Blues winger Alejandro Garnacho as he makes a swift return to his former home.
It will be concerning for Chelsea fans that they have not seen their side win away at Man Utd in the league since 2013, but now feels like the perfect time to break that unwanted run given the form of both teams.
For Alejandro Garnacho, 21, it would be quite some story if he makes his first-ever Chelsea start in Manchester. He’s made back-to-back appearances off the bench in the past week, but will he be thrown into the XI this weekend?
In his pre-match press conference, Blues head coach Enzo Maresca admitted Garnacho is ready to start the fixture against Man Utd, so all eyes will be on the team announcement later on.

Troy Deeney predicts Alejandro Garnacho will help Chelsea beat Manchester United
According to Troy Deeney, Chelsea will pick up a rare three points at Old Trafford this weekend when they visit Man Utd. He even said that he expects Garnacho to torment his former club in a 4-1 success.
Speaking on The Football Exchange, Deeney said: “I’m going to go for Chelsea to win 4-1. The reason why: Man Utd are under pressure, as you’ve just seen. They are at home. They have to come forward. They can’t sit in and relax. I think [Moises] Caicedo breaks up the play a lot, and your wide players kill them. I can see a scenario where Garnacho starts and does really well, like gets a couple of assists.”
Man Utd were pleased to sell Garnacho for £40m as they parted ways in the summer in a frosty way. The Argentine winger will surely be motivated to prove a few people wrong on Saturday in the opposition’s camp.
Chelsea have two wins and two draws from their opening four league matches, so this weekend’s result will partly determine what kind of start they have had to the season.
Even though Deeney has tipped a comprehensive away win, the history books indicate it could be a very tough fixture.

Alejandro Garnacho fumes with FC 26 rating
Ahead of the release of the new FC 26 console game, Chelsea’s squad discovered their individual ratings.
Garnacho, who’s listed as an attacking midfielder, has an overall rating of 77. The summer signing certainly wasn’t happy after learning his grade.
Garnacho said via Chelsea’s X account: “77. This is not serious. This is not acceptable.”
In 58 Man Utd appearances across all competitions last season, Garnacho scored 11 goals and created 10 assists. Let’s hope he can go and eclipse those numbers during his debut year in Chelsea colours.
