Two names have come to the forefront of the conversation when it comes to Chelsea signing a new striker before the transfer window slams shut.
The Blues have held a long-term interest in signing Victor Osimhen if the correct situation arises, with him seemingly desperate to leave Napoli this summer.
Yesterday also saw the Blues linked with a late move for Ivan Toney, as the summer transfer window approaches its final hours.
There is no doubt a division amongst the fanbase at who the ideal addition would be at this stage, with one seen as one of the top strikers in world football, and the other a proven goalscorer in English football.
Despite being close with Toney, Troy Deeney told Sky Sports News that he thinks the signing of Osimhen would be the superior addition.

Deeney would sign Osimhen over Toney for Chelsea
He said: “I have always got to look after my boy (Ivan Toney), ain’t I? I was going to say Ivan, but for the way Chelsea are playing, personally, I am not a big Nicolas Jackson fan. I think he does a lot of running, but they don’t need that.
“They need someone who is a bit like Haaland, looks after it, let the other guys run. Osimhen has the running and he has got the ability, and the aura of I am going to score, I am the big man, give me the ball.
“So if you ask me non-biased, all cards on the table, I would have to say Osimhen over Ivan.”
Romelu Lukaku on the way to Napoli
It has been reported Chelsea have submitted their first offer of personal terms to Osimhen, with an agreement there likely to be the catalyst for the two clubs to continue negotiations.
It looks as if talks between both parties have been pretty positive this summer, with it seeming that Romelu Lukaku will be on the move the other way whether the Blues sign the Nigerian or not.
There will no doubt be plenty more twists and turns before the transfer window closes on Friday, with it still being very much a possibility they make no more signings this summer.
