Chelsea made a real statement to the sides around them who are pushing for European football as an end goal of this season.

The Blues ran out 3-0 winners at the London Stadium against West Ham, with them further extending their unbeaten away run in the Premier League this season.

The win temporarily lifted Enzo Maresca’s men to second in the table, with them gaining points on pretty much every side around them this weekend.

There were a number of seriously impressive individual performances from Chelsea players on Saturday, with a lot of the headlines falling with Nicolas Jackson.

The Senegal international doubled his goal tally for the season with an efficient brace in the first half, as well as an assist for Cole Palmer’s dagger in the latter stages.

Nicolas Jackson and Moises Caicedo in Premier League Team of the Week

If someone deserves credit for potentially going under the radar though it’s Moises Caicedo. The midfielder was imperious at the heart of things at the weekend.

The pair have been recognised for their performances with them both being named in the WhoScored Team of the Week for the Premier League.

Jackson picked up the second highest rating of the week in England’s top flight, only coming in behind Tottenham’s James Maddison.

Chelsea thought about signing Victor Osimhen

The striker is beginning to prove doubters wrong as he looks to make a statement that the club do not need to sign a new name in that position.

Victor Osimhen has strongly been linked with a move and a great effort was made in the final moments of the transfer window, however the Blues determined a deal could not be done on their terms.

While there are still reports that they could come back to the scene in January, Jackson is certainly going the right way about just locking down the spot up top on his own right now.
