Gus Poyet has told ‘The Tottenham Way’ podcast that this Sunday’s London derby against Tottenham is crucial for Chelsea manager Graham Potter.
The former Brighton boss is under severe pressure at Stamford Bridge after a run of form which has consisted of two wins in just 14 games.
Things reached a new low last week when they were defeated at home by bottom of the league Southampton.

The supporters inside Stamford Bridge made their feelings known about the manager, with it seeming as if he has lost their faith and patience.
Despite the outrage, reports seem to state that Todd Boehly is willing to keep the faith with Potter, as the Blues approach a series of massive games.
Former Chelsea and Spurs man Poyet has claimed a win against their London rivals could be the start of a comeback for the manager.
Poyet says big game for Potter
He said: “When you’re in a club [that] has spent that much money, you need to win. I really support Graham Potter, he’s a terrific coach. I would love him to have as much time as possible, but we don’t know, that’s [down to] the owner.
“I believe in this even more nowadays with social media: everything that goes around, media way, puts tremendous pressure on the owners and the sporting directors and the people at the clubs.

“When there is really, really too much negativity around the club, the owners need to react, and it’s a problem.
“We’re getting to the point where it’s becoming very important to have a special win. A special win is a London derby or against [Borussia] Dortmund in a couple of weeks. They need that. That will calm everything down.”
Despite the Spurs game being huge notably with supporters, it is likely being able to recover his tarnishing relationship will likely come if they advance into the next round of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
